Holiday Weekend Fun

We had a 3 day weekend and took advantage of the time off! Avery slept at her friend Arene's on Friday and then went to a Murder Mystery "Old Hollywood" themed birthday party for a TPT friend where she won Best Dressed! Her friends Lily and Parker Sleptover after the birthday party followed by seeing Titanic with some friends on Sunday (Lots of debate over if Jack should have fit on the raft with Rose and MANY tears!). Tay had a cozy night with us on Friday, chatted with his friend Mason on Saturday morning and then we had a Mom/Son date night at Pinheads where we won lots of candy and prizes. On Sunday, we had brunch with Uncle Cullen and Aunt KJ followed by a Sleepover with Tay's buddy King at our house (he felt Avery was getting too many sleepovers and he wanted one, too!). They played video games, soccer in the basement, basketball upstairs and tried out some hair chalk that then got all over his clothes, carpet and pillows - Luckily it washes out easily! On Monday we went to Top Golf with Uncle Cullen and Uncle Du - It was a great way to end the weekend and get a feel for spring :)

Tay's 1st Grade Musical

Tay's class put on a super cute Mister Rogers themed show for the parents this week. It was adorable and I was very impressed with his stage presence. He had a sweet smile on the whole time and did great with all the lyrics and motions. JUST PURE CUTENESS!!

Happy Valentines Day

The kids had a sweet Valentines Day. We got them themed shirts and a Whitman's Sampler (in honor of Grammy). I was also able to go to Tay's school for his Valentines party and see him be a goof ball with his buddies!

Avery Shines In Bedtime Stories

Avery was in her first Non-Musical production with the Point Theater this weekend. She was in Bedtime Stories (As Told By My Dad Who Messed Them Up) and played a Militia member in The Boy Who Cried Dinosaur and Princess in Rumplestiltskin. The play was REALLY funny and she had the best experience. We had tons of friends and family come out to support her - she is one loved girl. It was so cool to see her in her element and can't wait for more plays in the future!
