We had a relaxing and wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with G, Papa, Lai Ma, Uncle Du, Uncle Cullen and Aunt KJ. Avery and G carved out pumpkins and created gorgeous centerpieces. G and Lai Ma did all the cooking and prepping and we had a great meal! Avery also made some amazing Snickerdoodle bars for dessert. Tay had lots of willing Video Game partners which was a thrill for him and we all loved being together. Avery got sleepy and didn't even make it upstairs for bed.....
Then on Friday, Avery, G and I headed to Columbus for THE Game. And WHAT A GAME IT WAS! G treated us to the tickets which were pretty pricey but it ended up being MORE than worth it. On Friday we checked in to our hotel, drove around to check out parking, had dinner and got some last minute things at Target (where we received dirty looks and grumbles in our Mich gear). On Saturday we were up by 6 am and on campus by 7. Parking was already tricky but we found a lot only 10 min from the stadium. We met up with my former boss and good friend Sanjay and tailgated a bit before meeting up with Erin, Joe and Molly. We got to see Molly enter the stadium and dance on the field which was really cool. And the game could not have been more perfect!!! Avery figured out the rules of football and got really into it - She now is a full on Mich fan and ready to go to more games with me (no complaints here!!). It was so fun watching the absolute game of my life LIFE!! It was fun chanting and leaving the stadium with the other Mich fans. We grabbed dinner and then laid in our hotel re-watching highlights and all the post-game press for hours before passing out after a LONG but FABULOUS day! SO SO grateful!
The boys had a good weekend back in Indy. Uncle Cullen and Aunt KJ took Tay to the movies and out for pizza on Friday and they spent Saturday at Uncle Du's watching football and playing with King. Tay was SO cute and sent me videos and texted me how much he missed me. I got the BEST hugs and snuggles when we got home and we had some good Mom/Son time on Sunday with him teaching me some video games.
We are settled in the for the night and SUPER Thankful for all the joy and love we have in our lives this holiday season!
