We spent a week in the mountains with Aunt Wendy, Uncle Art, Nate, Billy, Liam and Kelly. Wendy and Art were SO generous to fly us out and give us a truly amazing and magical week. We arrived Saturday, Tay discoved croquet and then we went for a gorgeous hike in Boulder, followed by dinner on Pearl Street and walk around downtown where we saw an awesome street performer who you told your Zip Code to and then he told you the City and State you lived in - Liam and Tay both made it on his map! We ended the night with Gelato.
On Sunday, we got Nate from airport, played some 3 par golf and croquet and headed up to the Mountains in Glenwood Springs! It was a gorgeous drive. Once we settled in and arrived we headed to the Hot Springs which was REALLY fun and new to many of us. We had dinner there and then all crased pretty quickly.
Monday we took a Gondola up to an Adventure Park with tons of rides and a cave tour. The weather was amazing the kids really loved it. Tay loved the Alpine Coaster the best and Avery was super adventerous and tried it all! We came back to the cabin, relaxed and, of course, played more Croquet. For dinner we went on a covered wagon ride and had dinner out a campfire.
Tuesday we started the day with more Croquet and then went on an amazing 3 mile hike to the Hanging Lake. Tay and Kelly (and Avery and Liam) were truly such troopers with all the hiking and climbing. The view at the top was gorgeous and then we were able to go behind the waterfall and that was the best part! We had dinner at home out on the deck and more croquet! Truly just a dream of a vacation so far!
Wednesday was Rafting Day - This was probably Tay's favorite activtiy!! We all had a blast on the rapids!
Thursday we made our way back to Boulder and went to the movies for a quiet night.
On Friday, we hit up some Mini-Golf, Go-Karting and Arcade before making our way home (LATE! - OUr flight landed at 3:00 am!)
