- Lounging on the lake - For Tay this meant playing with Uncle Nate and Aunt Debbie and he created a ride called the "Taylor Mobile" where he would pull your tube wherever you wanted be. The song "The Taylor, Taylor Mobile!"
- Picking cherries and then making Cherry Pancakes, Cherry Pie (from scratch by Debbie and Avery) and Cherry Cobbler
- Awesome family meals - Everyone pitched in and took over at least one. I made Baked Ziti, Debbie made Pork Belly, Maddie made Greek Salad, Eddie made Sofritas and Chorizo burritos, and we all pitched in on breakfast and grilling for lunch.
- We had lunch at Shorts Brewery one day after the boys golfed. Avery thought the beer flights were cool but obviously couldn't have it so Nate and Debbie made a kids flight with all different sort of soft drinks and then they did a taste test challenge.
- Ice Cream at Ruthies
- Random - Scraping paint off the peeling deck. Tay LOVED this and literally cried when we went to pick Cherries cause he wanted to keep scraping
- Lots of Zelda for Tay, Debbie, Nate and Hung (or "Zel" as Tay now calls it"
- Avery reading her book on the boat with Aunt Maddie
- Tons of games including a new one called KUBB which we are all now obsessed with. Also pinochle, Apples to Apples and Charades which had us all dying laughing
- Bonfire and S'mores
- Walks down the lane and Avery got in some bike riding
- Staying up WAY too late just hanging out and playing (but also lots of sleeping in!)
And the weekend ended with Nate and Debbie taking the kids to Mackinac for the day while I head back to work. We will spend the last week in Leland and the kids will go to Camp G (we were without childcare this week and G was a lifesaver!!!). So we all get one more week of Northern MI bliss...I don't want to end!!

Magical Day on Mackinac Island which included a night at a hotel with swimming, fudge, biking around the island, visiting the fort, climbing the arch, carriage ride, shopping main street, checking out the insect-arium and butterfly garden, Lunch at the Grand Hotel, dinner in town that included Avery ordering a "flight of soda" - They had never been asked for this, loved the idea, made her one and planning to add to the menu next year and name it after Avery.
