Two sweet notes that came home from school today

Avery's teacher sent her home with the below note. I asked if she had done anything special and she said no. Made me heart feel full and proud!

And then Tay came up with this note for Hung that he dictated to Mrs. Speith:

Ending the night with Bingo Snuggle time!!

A Few Cute Things I Wanted to Capture

Avery:
  • She was reading to Tay one night and trying to teach him how to Read with her old Bob Books. She realized they were too hard and saw on the back that there was an easier alphabet Bob Book set she could teach him. She counted her money (from things like the tooth fairy) and looked on Amazon and bought him the set with her own money. Sweet sweet heart!
  • She asks me every morning "How many days until Disney?"
  • Avery had to make a video for her Girl Scout Cookie Sales - And it was like I was watching myself. She needed to be perfect and then kept "messing up" and then just cried. It was very Avery!
  • She loves to sing and will catch her singing alone trying to make a vibrato.
  • Avery is REALLY into crafts and making "real" things - The other day she took 2 toilet paper rolls and paperclips and made Binoculars that actually kinda work.
  • She catches everything you say, she'll read your texts - and will keep asking questions until she gets it.
  • Avery asked us at dinner one night how babies are made when a doctor doesn't help you (like IVF - which is how she was made and the explanation I always gave). So we told her how it works. When it was done she raised her hand just said "gross" and hasn't mentioned it since.
  • Avery also made me the SWEETEST Coupon Book for my birthday!

Taylor:
  • He doesn't really know how to use his personal pronouns correctly. For example, Hung and him were playing this Angry Birds car racing game and when you beat a Bird three times you can then BE that bird in a race. And Tay always says "WE CAN BE HE". He was really excited to "BE CHUCK" which was the final bird to beat. He'll also start sentences with "Her not" or "Her can't". We should correct him but it's TOO cute!
  • He has quite the temper and can melt down fast when things don't go his way. We will find him curled up on a couch or in a corner crying. One night I thought he had gone upstairs but he was playing in the pantry and I heard him crying and cam back down and he said "I am SO frustrated. You left me all alone."
  • If you tell Tay no or ask him to do something he doesn't want he'll sob and say "You're Breaking MY HEART". It's hard not to laugh!
  • He has also been sneaky lately - very into taking things from Avery's room without her permission and hiding them in a corner of his room under a blanket. Then he'll come to me all sneaky and say he wants to show me something.
  • Tay is SUPER into Ninja's and beating "bad guys". Loves to pretend play and it's SO cute.

Happy New Year 2019!

We started off NYE with a trip to Carter's Place with Reese, Peter and Jenny. Then we hosted an NYE Party for a few neighbors. We hired a couple babysitters so contain the madness and it worked out great. The kids had a blast - Avery set up a photobooth with her new Polaroid Camera from G and they also created an "art show" with everything for sale that cost $0. Tay outlasted everyone and was up past 1 am (he even helped me fold laundry after everyone left LOL). Avery was coming off 2 sleepovers and didn't make it til midnight...And Tay slept in until almost 11:30 on New Years Day and Avery got her self breakfast and watched TV until we all get up.(a present to Hung and me :)

Paw Patrol LIVE

One of Tay's X-mas gifts was tickets to Paw Patrol LIVE. We went with Sarah and "Tiny Miles" (who is 5 months older than Tay). He was so excited to go! At intermission he did say he missed Dada and wanted to go home LOL. It was a cute show and fun to have some time with just TayTay!
