Avery's Fall Fieldtrip

I was so excited to chaperone Avery's class trip to Russell Farms. It was cold and rainy but we still had fun - They did a great job with the kids who got to pet some animals and learn all about farming. We ended the trip with a hay ride and pumpkin. It was SO sweet to see Avery with her friends and to get to know some of the kids I hear so much about! And I just LOVE her teacher Mrs. Smith.

Headless Horsemen

We went to Conner Prairie this year with the Silcock's and Baloun's. We picked a much better day than last year and got there much earlier so the kids were able to do all the games, the haunted hayride (Avery was a little scared and Tay said it was fun), see the magic show, have a few treats and finish the night with the bounce house and corn box. Kids had a blast!

Weekend with the Bolton's

Rebecca, Jordan, Hannah and Ella came to visit over Fall Break. The kids had SUCH a great time together and the adults loved catching up, too. We fit in Children's Museum, some Crafts, Pumpkin Carving, lots of meals out (some were more successful than others :)), golf for the guys, and several different combinations of "sleepovers" (like the meals, some were more successful than others :)). And we got to watch Michigan OWN MSU in football. It was a great weekend!! Rebecca and I were not great about Pics but below are a few we managed to snap.

Attempted Sleepover on  the last night - The only one who actually slept there was Tay

Avery Needed her TayTay

Hung put Avery to bed one night and she was having trouble falling asleep alone. So she made a "fake Avery" in her bed to trick Hung cause she didn't want him to get mad and then snuck into Tay's room through the Jack and Jill bathroom and crashed with him. SO sweet!

Fall Festivities

Although it has felt like Summer with temps in the 80's, we have had a fun to start to Fall!

G got Avery tickets to Lion King for her b-day. The three of us went and had a girl's night downtown with dinner at Mesh and then the show. Avery loved it!!

The Walk-A-Thon at SSES and the Peace Pole Ceremony at MSW. We didn't have the right size shirt for Tay - he was wearing one of Avery's old ones and looked hysterical!

Hung, Avery and I went to the Taylor Swift Concert. Avery loved it until she fell while trying to stand up in her chair. From that point on she was tired and in tears and over it!

We went to Stuckey Farm's with Jaime, Brooke and Zach. And then went again a few days later for a Field Trip with Tay's school. They loved the play area, pig races, donuts & cider slushies, apple cannons, corn maze and hayride + apple picking. I was happy to be able to chaperone Tay's class trip. It was cute to see him with all the kids in his class!

The Baloun's hosted a really fun outdoor movie night for the kids!

We took a family trip to King's Island with G. Avery and Hung conquered some big roller coasters!! Tay woke up at 6 ready to roll and then promptly fell asleep in his stroller while walking into the park. After a 3 hour nap he was finally ready to hit kiddie land and had fun going on rides and playing games. He loved the Bumper Cars best because he "hit sissy". It was an awesome day until the Haunt started and it got dark. One of the monsters scared Avery and literally terrified her. She was sobbing and it took some candy and lots of hugs to calm her down. By that point we were all spent and headed home but it was a really fun family day! Didn't get a ton of pics....

It's been an awesome start to Fall!! And lots of fun weekends on the horizon :)
