Avery's Birthday Party Weekend at Holiday World

Avery chose to have a weekend at Holiday World with Lila instead of a Friend Birthday party this year. It was our first time going and we had a lot of fun!! I thought it would be cool to stay on the Campgrounds at Lake Rudolph - That was a mistake!! The girls thought it was great - Hung and I will not be returning. But we survived :)

We got two, hot sunny days. We spent the first day at the Water Park which was really big and nice. Avery is a daredevil and did all  the biggest slides and had no fear. They also really loved the big wave pool. Day 2 we spent time in the regular park - Avery and Hung did a huge wooden rollercoaster and Avery was saying last night she wished she had done more. We went to a magic show that was really good and had lots of treats!!

Hung and I were both exhausted last night but Avery gave it a 10 out 10 and said it was the best birthday ever. We'll have ONE more celebration tomorrow night on her actual birthday and then can close our the 2018 Birthday Season!

 

Tay's 1st Week of Preschool

Tay had a great first full-week of Children's House 1. He never cried at drop off, came home dirty from intense playground playing, happy and tired! We got lots of notes about all the new stations he was trying in the class and some cute pics of him making friends. He was sobbing Sunday night when we said he couldn't go to school today because he has stomach flu - made us happy that he was excited to go back. Such a big boy and SO proud of him!!

Tay's Birthday Week

We had several occasions to celebrate Tay turning 3!! We had a family party the Sunday after Cullen's wedding, we also celebrated with just our family, G, Cullen and KJ on his actual birthday. He got a new Paw Patrol Truck and Batman toy and LOVED both of them. Then Hung and I went to school with him on Friday where they had their traditional Montessori birthday party for him. He loved passing out popcorn to his friends and was really sad when Hung and I had to leave.

And Tay spent his actual birthday with Ackey while Hung and I took Avery to Holiday World for her birthday party. Sadly, he got a stomach bug and fever and was sick the whole weekend so they had to adjust their plans a bit - But they made the best of it. Ackey decorated the house in all Paw Patrol for him, took him Target where he picked out some remote control cars and dinosaur and he had an awesome cake. They were up most of the weekend and spent a ton of time in the bathroom but Tay handled it like a champ - No real complaints and didn't have ONE accident which was amazing. He really showed what a strong and brave boy he is!

Today he is sad because his birthday is over and it's Avery's tomorrow. LOL.

 Birthday Weekend with Ackey

Cullen and KJ's Wedding

We had the best wedding weekend celebrating Cullen and KJ! We had the rehearsal downtown on Friday and then the G and Papa threw the Rehearsal dinner at UHS on Friday night. It was a beautiful evening and so great to see all the out of town guests. 

Saturday was the wedding and we started the day around 5:45 am getting hair and makeup done...The kids were SUCH troopers and got right up and were so well behaved and sweet. The ceremony was perfect and both kids did a great job going down the aisle and the brunch reception was a blast. Avery and Tay were the only two kids at the wedding and their dance moves stole the show. It was just perfect and I loved every minute of it!! Will post the professional pics when we get them but below are few snapshots from our phones.

On Sunday we took advantage of having family and friends in town and threw a brunch to celebrate the kids' 7th and 3rd birthdays. They collected supplies for Riley's Childrens Hospital and also got a few fun things for themselves. It was the perfect end to a wonderful and love filled weekend!!
