Sweet Avery

The other night Avery was brushing her teeth and came into my room afterwards with tears streaming down her face. I had no idea what happened and she says "I was just standing there and started thinking 'What if you weren't my mom' and I had another mom who wasn't as nice as you and I get really sad and scared". It was so innocent and genuine and I felt like I was looking at myself as a 6 year old. My mom and I always say that I am raising myself....Afterwards. she made me the sweetest card that I now have hanging on mirror so i see it every morning.

She is so imaginative and we call it "Off in Avery land" and sometimes now she'll say "Oh I was just off in Avery land". She created a whole museum in the hallway to our basement and a "Punch and Kick" Ninja school for Taylor. And she is loving listening to Wicked and will dance and sing her heart out. My kind, sweet girl makes me melt!

Avery's Punch and Kick
She has a game where her and Tay have to hit as many of the targets as possible on each turn and she keeps score

Avery's museum is "Opin" and features masterpieces like Mona Lisa's Sister

Avery's sweet note to me and one she made for Hung a couple days later

Mommy/Tay Weekend

While Avery visited Aunt Amy and Hung played golf with Du, Tay and I had a wonderful weekend together. On Saturday we went to his swim lesson (which he decided to cry through most of and reach out and scream "mama") and then saw Incredibles 2. We ended the day marching in Hancock County Parade for the Indiana Dems to support Poonam. Tay got to ride in the truck and loved eating and throwing "Cowee" aka Candy to the kids on the parade route. He was very cute and sweet!

On Sunday we spent the whole day at the Children's Museum. They have new exhibits on Super Heroes and Hot Wheels. Tay was literally in Heaven. He spent a ton of time just running around in a cape and trying the Super Hero activities and also loved playing with all the Hot Wheels. After lunch we spent a ton of time at the Train area. Tay was really into buying him and me tickets and then riding the train. He took it really seriously and was SO cute.  We also did Dinos and Outer Space and ended the day at the new outdoor Wide World of Sports which is REALLY cool but we were tired by then and will need to go back. We paid a visit to Grammy afterwards and Tay lit her up. He used a key to unlock her jewelry drawer and proceeded to pull out every one for us to wear. He would say "Ohh this one is really pretty" and give it to us. We walked Grammy to dinner and everyone in the dining room was obsessed with him. It was all very sweet!

We ended the day having dinner with G. He just made me melt over and over and I can't stand how cute he is right now! And I am exhausted - The boy has ENDLESS energy!

Avery's Weekend with Aunt Amy

Aunt Amy had Avery come visit for the weekend and she had so much fun!! They spent a lot of time building a really cool and intricate fort that had all the rooms (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, patio, firepit) and even a special room for Skylar. Avery eve decided to fall asleep in the bedroom of the fort before Amy took her to her real bed. They also went for a ride in the convertible, hung at the mall, and went to see Incredibles 2. They ended the weekend going to a wedding that Amy performed and Avery got to be a guest. Such a fun weekend for both of them :)

Holiday World

Ash took the kids to Holiday World last week and they had a blast. Although the weather was not great and they had to hang in the Cabana during some of the thunder/lightening shut downs they made the best of it and got to go on lots of rides, water slides and have some yummy treats. Hung and I got 2 nights to our selves and actually had a dinner date and got to run errands without kids. It was a win all around and both kids can't wait to go back!
