May Catch Up

I have been slacking on my updates so here is one for May. It's been a fun and busy month getting settled into our new home neighborhood. We've been spending the weekends getting lots of house projects done and we are 99% close to feeling fully settled. Our deck is being built this week and when that is complete we should be able to relax and enjoy summer :)

Mother's Day was lovely - Ashley helped the kids make tote bags and aprons for me and G with their hand and foot prints as flowers and butterflies. They also made a cupcake bouquet that looked like a flower pot. Avery brought home a VERY sweet sheet she completed about me - One of my favorite gifts every year! I got to sleep in that day and the kids and Hung brought me breakfast in bed. And we had dinner with G and Grammy, as well!

We also spent a day at Conner Prairie and got to explore the outdoor areas which were closed all winter. Taylor loved puddle jumping and Avery had a blast playing with Lila and Regan.

We have also spent lots of time playing in our neighborhood and making new friends. While we wait to get grass and deck in the back we spend a lot of time in our driveway and taking walks to the neighborhood park. Popsicles and walk after dinner have become a staple!

Memorial Day weekend has been a ton of fun. Friday we have a party with our neighbors - Tay loved riding around on Miles' motorcycle and Avery made some new friends and joined a "Unicorn Club". Saturday we visited the neighborhood pool - Avery jumped right in. Tay liked the kiddie pool OK but I think it's gonna take some time to warm up to the big pool. He wanted out pretty much immediately. On Sunday we went to an awesome new park and splash pad with Lila and Lena. They could have played there all day. It was so much fun we went back on Monday with Jaime, Brooke and Zach!

It's been a fun May and we are READY FOR SUMMER!
