Catching Up

I have been a bit delinquent in my blogging lately - But here a few snap shots from the last couple weeks. 

We went to the zoo with Henry and Holden and got to feed the Giraffes

We went to the Touch a Truck event in Broadripple and then got to play at the park with friends

We went to the PBS in the Park event downtown and got to explore all the booths, pet some animals, and meet Clifford! She asked Clifford where T-Bone was and Clifford said he was taking a nap which appeased Avery.

Lots of fun times with her babysitters Kristen and Melissa - Among other things, Children's Museum, a trip to the airport, Story Time at Barnes and Noble, and painting pottery - They have kept her busy and happy this summer!

Father's Day 2014

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend - although I was not great about taking pictures most of the time.....On Friday, we had dinner with G and Grammy and on Saturday we went to Brooke's 3rd birthday party. Avery loved the cupcakes and playing outside. On Sunday, Hung got to sleep in and then we gave him his presents (see pictures below - we made him a DAD frame. Thanks to my friend Leah for taking the pictures!!). Then we had brunch at G and Papa's house and headed to Elise's 3rd birthday party. It was a frozen theme and Elsa was there - Avery was so excited to meet her and even dressed up in her Elsa costume for part of the party. She asked Elsa why Anna was sick (Earlier in the day she asked Hung if Anna would be there and Hung said he thought Anna was sick). Elsa was a good sport and played along - She also asked her where Sven, Kristoff and all of her friends were. She would not stop asking questions :) 

It was a really cute party with a "Do you want to build a snowman?" craft, a "snowball" fight, a snow making pool and lots of Frozen themed treats (Avery loved the blue cake and the blue drinks). It was a very fun way to spend the afternoon and, after skipping nap-time, we are all exhausted tonight!! But it was a great weekend and Avery and I are both so thankful to have Hung. He is one amazing Dad.

Elise's 3rd Birthday Party

Poor, Sick Avery

Avery was not sick ALL school year and her first week of summer vacation she gets Hand, Foot, Mouth :( It started as a low grade fever on Sunday and then on Monday night I noticed the rash on her legs and then I when we went to brush teeth she started crying and saying it was going to hurt. I looked in her mouth and it was covered in sores and blisters - poor thing :( The doctor confirmed the diagnosis and there was nothing to do but give her tylenol, fluids, and TLC. She finally seems back to herself and the rash seems to has stopped spreading (it looks SO painful - blisters and rash from tush to toes and the mouth was just a mess). She is also acting much more like herself today so am thinking we are almost in the clear.....

She was having trouble sleeping (I think because her mouth was so sore) so she has fallen asleep in some random places the last couple days. On Tuesday she fell asleep on the couch watching cartoon with KJ.
